IDS/ID-Series Splice Detector
Model: ID-15 (Diameter 15mm)
The IDS series is most recommended as a splice detector, but the ID Series (low cost) is also available for some applications.
The IDS/ID series is also available for wire break detection. The CDD-15 is available for micro wire break detection.
Cable core joints differ from conventional materials and shapes due to welding, pressure welding, iron wire contamination, etc.
A splice detector is a device designed to prevent product contamination by detecting eddy current losses occurring at splices.
Depending on the model, disconnected splices, splices inside shielded wires, and splices created by pressure welding or welding without changing the outer diameter can also be detected.

IDS/ID Series are also available for detection of wire-breaking. CDD-15 is availble for detection of extra fine wire-breaking.

A joint detector is a device designed to prevent contamination of products by detecting eddy current loss that occurs at joints.
Depending on the model, disconnections, seams inside the shielded wire, and seams made by pressure welding or welding with no change in outer diameter can also be detected.
Features

ID/IDS/IDX series
The sensor head of the IDS series consists of 3 coils and the IDX series consists of 2 coils.
The joint is detected by analyzing and comparing the balance of the impedance of both coils, which collapses due to changes in magnetic resistance caused by eddy current loss when the joint passes through.
Compared to the ID series, the IDS/IDX series has specifications that are more resistant to line runout during measurement.
