Surface temperature measurement forms the technological foundation of Anritsu Meter.
And this surface temperature is most closely linked to our lives.
The cold and hot sensations of our hands are also measurements of surface temperature. However, in reality, the surface temperature area is still unknown.

In contrast, the world of internal temperature measurement has become so dominant that it is almost accepted as common sense that water boils at 100°C and freezes at 0°C.
That is, the freezing and boiling points of various liquids serve as fixed temperature points, on which traceability has been built.

However, surface temperatures do not have these fixed points.
In other words, the surface temperature cannot be measured and its measured value cannot be determined to be accurate.

As a manufacturer who tackled the problem of surface temperature measurement before others, Anritsu Meter, with the aim of establishing a method for evaluating surface temperature, finally developed the ACSI surface temperature calibration system in 1986, leading to unknown surface temperature in a traceable manner.
Upgraded to ACSII in 1992, the system further enhanced the sense of accomplishment as a verification standard for developing a single calibrator capable of comprehensively evaluating surface temperature.
