The HI766Z/3 is a K-type stainless steel thermocouple probe for use with a portable thermometer. The stainless steel sensor extends 10 feet (3 m) from the end of the sensor to connect the meter to the probe; the HI766Z/3 does not include a handle. The thin yet durable steel wire probe allows for accurate measurements in ovens.

The HI766Z/3 Stainless Steel K-Type Thermocouple Probe measures temperature inside ovens, areas that are difficult to access with traditional probes. The response time of a measurement is affected by the position of the sensor relative to the surface being measured. The HI766Z/3 stainless steel probe provides a 4 second response time. Constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the HI766Z/3 probe can measure ovens with temperatures up to 1100°C (2000°F).
