The HI766Z/7 is a K-type steel thermocouple probe for use with a portable thermometer. The stainless steel sensor extends 7 m from the end of the sensor to connect the meter to the probe; the HI766Z/7 does not include a handle. The thin yet durable steel wire probe allows for accurate measurements in ovens.

The HI766Z/7 Stainless Steel K-Type Thermocouple Probe measures temperature inside ovens, areas that are difficult to access with traditional probes. The response time of a measurement is affected by the position of the sensing surface relative to the surface being measured. The HI766/7 Stainless Steel Probe provides a 4 second response time. Constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the HI766Z/7 probe can measure ovens with temperatures up to 1100°C (2000°F).
