Glove CAFE Test Electrode

Model: Desco 19298

The Desco 19298 Glove CAFE (Constant Area and Force Electrode) meets ANSI/ESD SP15.1 requirements for measuring the intrinsic electrical resistance of gloves and finger cots. It also measures their electrical resistance together with personnel as a system.

The Desco Glove CAFE is compatible with the following Desco Surface Resistance Meters:
19290 Digital Surface Resistance Meter Kit
19291 Digital Surface Resistance Meter
19784 Analog Surface Resistance Meter Kit
19786 Analog Surface Resistance Meter
19640 Surface Resistance Checker

Using the Desco 19298 Glove CAFE Test Electrode with the Desco 19290 Digital Surface Resistance Meter

  1. Fit a wristband snugly onto the wrist.

  2. Snap the wrist cord to the wristband. Use the included non-resistor wrist cord if performing a Low Voltage System Resistance Test per sections 6.6 and 6.7 of ANSI/ESD SP15.1. Use a one megohm wrist cord if performing a High Voltage System, High Resistance Test per section 6.8 of ANSI/ESD SP15.1.
