HI4014-51 potassium module is used with ion selective electrodes potassium HI4014 half-cell (ISE). The liquid membrane sensor contains an organic polymer in an inert PVC matrix, which is responsible for the exchange of nitrate ions across the membrane. A charge imbalance forms between the sample and the internal cell in response to ion activity. potassium . The change in potential is proportional to the concentration of ions in the solution.

The HI4014-51 potassium half-cell module easily screws onto the body of the HI4014 probe, allowing for quick assembly or replacement. Pre-soaking the nitrate sensor in dilute standard solution without ionic strength adjuster (ISA) for at least half an hour prior to calibration will optimize sensor response. Cooling the HI4014-51 module potassium will help prolong life
