The IVN-8561 is an interface that converts 100BASE-T1 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) automotive Ethernet to standard 100BASE-TX Ethernet. It is ideal for developing applications that require automotive Ethernet to test and validate automotive electronic control units (ECUs). The IVN-8561 provides two channels to convert data between 100BASE-TX Ethernet and 100BASE-T1 Automotive Ethernet. Each 100BASE-T1 port can be configured as master or slave, using switches on the front panel. The IVN-8561 also provides LED on the front panel so that you can monitor the linkage and activity on the various ports.

National Instruments IVN-8561 Automotive Ethernet Interface Device
The National Instruments IVN-8561 (Part Number: 786169-01) is a 4-Port Automotive Ethernet Interface Device for automotive Ethernet to standard 100BASE-TXEthernet. This device converts 100BASE-T1 automotive Ethernet to standard Ethernet. The NI IVN-8561 is considered a viable solution for the development of applications that require automotive Ethernet to validate and test ECUs. There are two channels provided on this device. Each channel is used to convert data between standard Ethernet and automotive Ethernet.
Each 100BASE-T1 port incorporated in this device can be configured as a slave or master using the front panel switches. The National Instruments IVN-8561 Automotive Ethernet Interface Device features front panel LEDs to provide real-time status about the activity and linkage on the multiple ports. This media converter comes equipped with four 100 Mbps ports. Ports 1 and 3 are 100BASE-T1 ports. Ports 2 and 4 are 100BASE-TX ports. In addition to four communication ports, the NI IVN-8561 has 1 USB Type-C port.
The USB port incorporated in this device is used to power the device through a standard USB 3.0 port on your industrial controller or personal computer. This media converter supports 100 Mbps communication rate and consumes around 2.8 watts of power. Ports 1 and 3 of this device can be selected as a Master or Slave with the help of DIP switches. The NI IVN-8561 Automotive Ethernet Interface Device requires 5 VDC power to operate. This device can be mounted on a DIN rail with the help of a mounting kit that can be acquired separately. Moreover, the four holes on the bottom of this device allow mounting in several different orientations.
